Kindness inspires Kindness

This March 31, 2013, around 60 students from Covai User Group and Rotaract Club of CUG are about to make a difference in the lives of 950 underprivileged kids in the city of Coimbatore. We call it the Hunger Free Day.

Who We Are?

We are a group of around 60 students yearning to make a difference in the lives of the less privileged.  We believe its our responsibility to spread some smiles whenever possible. We have been doing this event for three years now and every time we make sure we give our best to make this world a better place to be.

How do we do?

We know there are a lot of orphanages out there that receive funding all through the year. But we identify the ones that get missed out. After understanding the way the orphanages inside the city works, we have handpicked a list of 15 orphanages that will be benefitted from this event.

How are we different?

We do not just send the money or arrange for caterers but we make sure we serve them – understand them – make them smile.  We do not stop with food for just one day. We have found out the commodity that is always in shortage for a particular orphanage. We have listed them down. It ranges from stationeries like a4 sheets, pens, slates to groceries like dhal, rice, sugar etc.

How can you contribute?

Way 1:

Send us the money that you will spend on food on any ordinary day (We don’t mind if you can contribute more than that as well)

Way 2:

Some of you might think about buying the commodities yourself and giving it to us (You are more than welcome. Contact us to block what you are going to buy)

Way 3:

Join us on March 31, 2013 to make it happen. (As simple as that)
